Cybermummy has come around very quickly....and I am VERY excited! If you haven't been keeping up with my plans on Twitter then humour me while I bore you with the finer details.
So, if you didn't know, Cybermummy is the UK's premier blogging conference devoted to parents that blog and it is designed to plug you in to the wider blogging world. This years event is being held at The Brewery, London next Saturday (25th June).
I'm very lucky to have secured sponsorship from Bottlegreen Drinks for my conference ticket and accommodation costs - thank-you very much!
Events for me kick off next Wednesday when I get delivery of #CMCar3! #CMCar3 you ask?.....I was one of the lucky bloggers that was chosen by Hyundai UK to travel up in style to the conference in a brand new Hyundai i30. Luckily, I wont be singing my way to Cybermummy on my own. I will be leaving my home in North Cornwall early on Friday morning and heading down to Exmouth to pick up Ruth and Bob. Bob plans to snooze in the back while myself and Ruth share the driving. Thankfully (for all Londoners) Ruth will be driving into central London....
We are hoping to arrive at The Hoxton by lunchtime and then I have to hot foot it to lunch with the girls from my sponsors PR company - looking forward to meeting you Michelle and Clemmi.
Then its time for the glad rags to go on and a few drinkies with Mostly Yummy Mummy and probably Cara Freckles and Helen Aardvark (and whoever else wants to join us at The Hoxton bar) before venturing over to meet Sandy Calico and gang for the hotly awaited Baby Baby party. Prepare for plenty of Twitpics and tweets! Back to The Hoxton before midnight (obviously) before getting a bit of kip.
Up and out early on Saturday - with a spare pair of knickers in the handbag (ask Liz Jarvis) as well as a notebook and pen, biz cards and my netbook....oh and my camera....don't let me forget my camera.
You can see the Cybermummy schedule here.....it is jam packed! One session I am definitely attending is 'How to be a blogger Activist' with Liz Scarff and Rosie Scribble as speakers. I will be live blogging from this session so keep your eyes peeled for an incoherent rambling post appearing at around 3:30pm next Saturday.
Networking and more drinks follow the event and then...probably more drinks.
Sunday my plan will be to wake up, have a cold shower, take 2 paracetamol, eat a packet of salty crisps, a banana and drink a glass of lemonade (hangover cure learnt from Uni) then back home to Kernow to make sure hubby and the kids haven't burnt down the house.
I can't wait!!!!!
On to food, if only briefly. This Brownie cake needs no introduction - gooey chocolaty goodness improved by a dollop of clotted cream.
Ingredients:
175g Unsalted Butter
175g Dark Chocolate
200g Golden Caster Sugar
3 eggs, separated
65g Plain Flour
50 Milk Chocolate Chucks
Method:
Step 1: Heat oven to 180c and grease and line a 20cm tin.
Step 2: Place the dark choc, sugar and butter in a pan and melt on low heat. Leave to cool
Step 3: Whisk yolks into mixture then add flour and milk choc chunks.
Step 4: Whisk whites until they form soft peaks then fold into mixture. Pour into tin and bake for 35 minutes.
