Celebrating Christmas with #MyMarksFave

Marks and Spencer Christmas Food
You can't beat a bit of festive food from Marks and Spencer can you? We've been lucky enough to road test a selection of this year's offerings (I know, a hard job but someone's got to do it) to try and pick an all time favourite and crown it #MyMarksFave. Head over to my Instagram profile and click on Christmas highlights to find out what we thought of individual products, but below is a little preview of some of the yummy things we have been trying.

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without some crackers, cheese and posh crisps, essential items to any Christmas buffet! The kids loved the colourful tortilla stars (they had no idea they were eating beetroot and spinach) and I made a festive blue cheese dip to dunk them in, which went really well with crisps.

If sweet is your thing though (and it's definitely my kids thing), the raspberry and white chocolate tree's (pictured above) were the perfect festive after school treat, with a glass of cold milk.

Christmas without mince pies wouldn't be a proper Christmas in my book, and this mini selection was really yummy - the perfect size too (i.e. you can fit the whole thing in your mouth in one go without looking like a pig). My favourite mini pie was the frosted crumble topped one but hubby preferred the brandy cream topped one. I could have quite easily scoffed them all to be honest.

It was the 'Let it Sloe' cocktail that stole the show for me though and is 100% #MyMarksFave. A gorgeous blend of Sloe Gin, Oranges and Plums and at 20% proof, pretty heady too. I mixed it with some chilled soda water and poured it over ice but I'm going to serve it with some Prosecco on Christmas Day. They also do a Mince Pie flavoured version that I need to get my hands on quick.

The all important advent calendars were a hit here and M&S kindly gave us three so there was no squabbling. The Enchanted Forest Calendar looked really special too...I might treat hubby to a posh one like this next year.

 ...and finally...

... these amazing Millionaire's Salted Caramel Biscuits were kidnapped by my 11 year old, but for a very good cause. Her school were making up Christmas Shoe Boxes for elderly people in our nearest town and she wanted to give someone this extra special treat. These really are lovely so it was difficult to part with them...but all for a good cause at Christmas. A great little stocking filler for chocolate lovers this one!

Disclosure: I was sent a selection of Christmas products from M&S and was compensated for my posts.
