Apple, Raspberry and Blackberry Crumble

An easy seasonal Apple, Raspberry and Blackberry Crumble recipe.

Apple, Raspberry and Blackberry Crumble

The blackberries and raspberries for this easy Apple, Raspberry and Blackberry Crumble, were stashed away in the freezer last August and defrosted.
The apples were duly picked from the tree,  peeled and chopped....and that was the hardest part of this recipe.

The 3 year old made the crumble topping, which kept her quiet for a good 10 minutes.

Then, after a 45 minute blast in the oven, out popped a beautifully golden crumble with the dark red juices bubbling up at the sides.

What to serve with crumble?

My favourite accompaniment with crumble is thick and creamy custard. However, clotted cream, double cream or ice cream go well too.

Top tips for making crumble

  • Crumbles are a great way of using up fruit. Why not try adding other fruit like blueberries or rhubarb.
  • Add a handful of chopped walnuts to the crumble topping for extra texture and crunch.
  • The crumble can be frozen for up to three months.
